Showing men and women how to have lasting transformation in their health is hugely rewarding.  It’s what makes me tick!

If you have been with me awhile, you know that losing my Mom to cancer was a major turning point in my life.  It was the pivotal event that inspired me to help others sidestep disease, avoid needless suffering, and years of poor health. I’m all over that!

So recently I had an opportunity to help someone achieve a huge shift in his life.

This transformation happened for a close friend I was helping reduce insulin dependence and so it was especially rewarding.

My friend had been fed the same lies as we all are and was overjoyed to find out there are actually other options besides needles and pills…and I am speaking of real options that have worked for thousands and thousands of people.

There are over 20 million diabetics in the US and probably many more that are pre-diabetic and on the precipice. So this is important to talk about -You need to know the truth about what makes you sick and everyone deserves the abundance of good health.

So back to the subject and question at hand: “Can diabetes be reversed and insulin dependence avoided or minimized?”   The answer is….YES… in most cases.

To fulfill my obligation as your trusted advisor, I need to give you good actionable information and clarify this answer.  So here goes.

There are actually 3 main types of Diabetes and they are type I Diabetes Mellitus, type II Diabetes Mellitus, and Diabetes Insipidus.

Type I Diabetes Mellitus occurs when the isles of Langerhans- two little glands that sit on the pancreas- are damaged.  When this happens they can no longer produce insulin, the hormone that helps get glucose (blood sugar) to the cells. Without sugar, the cells can not generate the energy to carry out vital life processes and start to die.

Type II Diabetes Mellitus occurs when the body can still make insulin but it’s not effectively moving sugar across capillary walls from the blood to the cells.

The 3rd type of Diabetes is Diabetes Insipidus and actually has nothing to do with blood sugar.  It occurs when the pituitary gland does not make enough of the water-balance hormone vasopressin (also called antidiuretic hormone or ADH). It can also happen when there is a poor kidney response to this hormone.

Diabetes Insipidus results in high urine output and increased thirst which mimics 2 symptoms of Diabetes Mellitus.  The problem with D.I. is that if higher intake of water is restricted- the condition can result in dangerous levels of dehydration.

It turns out that the most common type of Diabetes is type II and the good news is that with the right steps type II can be partially or even completely reversed.

In my next blog post we will talk about the steps you can take to reverse type II and prediabetes—so stay tuned; this is a life-changer!
